Come out and enjoy 50 free concerts this summer at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington. This week, bring the kids either in the morning or a night to hear The Boogers, a kid’s band who will be playing two free shows at the Levitt Pavilion for the Arts in Arlington on Wednesday, June 9.
Since The Boogers (Sticky, Crusty and Greenie) visited the Levitt Pavilion last summer, their debut album, Road to Rock, won a 2009 National Parenting Publications Gold Award! This summer, they’re back with their children’s music that brings the chord-driven rock – and isn’t lame! In addition to great original songs like This Song’s About Transportation and I Don’t Need to be Worried, The Boogers pride themselves on providing a unique take on children’s classic songs. For them, it’s not just about putting a different beat to the music – lots of children’s artists have already done that across lots of genres (blues, jazz, funk, reggae, lame rock). The Boogers are about interpreting the songs and adding new lyrics, whole new sections and melodies to better communicate their messages and create something familiar to kids that’s also completely original and fun.
