Free “Basically Beethoven Festival” in Dallas – Sundays in July 2010

Fine Arts Chamber Players will host the 30th Basically Beethoven Festival, a series of free classical chamber music concerts and recitals held on Sunday afternoons in July at Grand Hall in Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park. The Rising Star Recitals are from 2:30 to 2:50 p.m. and feature performances are from 3 to 4 p.m. Doors open at 2 p.m. 214-520-2219 or www.fineartschamberplayers.org for more information.

The Fine Arts Chamber Players (FACP) was founded by people who believe MUSIC is vital to life and share the vision and desire to make professionally played music ACCESSIBLE to everyone.  Since its inception in 1981, FACP has created a community of music by serving over 195,000 children and performing for over 500,000 people in North Texas. FACP is the arts organization that offers FREE intimate musical experiences that educate and inspire the individual.

The Rising Star Recital series begins at 2:30 pm, just prior to the main concerts at 3:00 pm. These recitalsshowcase young talented musicians, giving them an opportunity to perform before a wider audience. Fine Arts Chamber Players provides a venue for these gifted young artists as they pursue careers in music.

Professional musicians from across North Texas perform inside the air-conditioned Grand Hall in Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. With a wall of windows overlooking the gardens as a backdrop, these performances are a feast for the eyes and the ears. In 2010, the Basically Beethoven Festival will celebrate its 30th Anniversary.
