Do you want some quality food without having to slave in front of a stove, or pay a fortune to get some in a fancy restaurant? Well then come on down to “Taste of Dallas” from July 9-11 at Fair Park, where you can sample the menus of restaurants you’ve always wanted to try, steal a secret or two from top culinary talent at cooking demonstrations, and drink in select wines and learn about the wine-making process.
The Taste of Dallas, an annual food festival, makes a move indoors this year to Fair Park. The festival boasts more than 150,000 square feet of air conditioned space for culinary demonstrations, a marketplace and Artists Enclave and more. Dozens of Dallas’ top restaurants will offer tastings for $1 – $3. Friday night will feature an 80s tribute band, the best in Texas music from Gilley’s will highlight Saturday night and Sunday will feature the Taste of Dallas’ best local bands. A themed sports zone with some of the Metroplex’s favorite professional sports teams and the Kids Taste Town with bounce houses, giant slides and more will entertain everyone in the family.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with some of Dallas’ most delectable desserts, and experience regional cuisine and be the first to try the next “big thing.” There will be food featured from such chefs as Daniel Nemec, Shawn Horne, David Bull, Jason Boso and many more.
At Taste of Dallas, it’s all served up steaming hot for you. And why not take the kiddies along? Children 12 & under are free! Kids’ Taste Town inside the Taste of Dallas was designed for kids and the kid inside all of us. Bounce houses, giant slides, and lots of interactive games bring this area to life amidst a sea of smiling faces.
Balloon artists, magicians, jugglers, and others provide entertainment throughout the day. Ponies and Pals provides plenty of fun for all with an interactive petting zoo. Also “School of Rock” will be there with:
- FREE Guitar and Drum lessons all day every day
- School of Rock Performers every afternoon on the Taste Town Stage
All of this is hosted by Radio Disney! With a move to Dallas’ own Fair Park, Taste of Dallas is expanding into 150,000 square feet of indoor space and has an entire outdoor esplanade to fill with Dallas’ best hot fare and a chance to cool your heels – what could better?
