Would you like to take a free cooking class at Williams Sonoma? Well come on out on July 18 for one of Williams-Sonoma’s free in-store cooking & technique classes. The specific times may vary from place to place, and you’ll need to RSVP. The hour-long culinary arts technique classes will take place on July 18 and 25. July’s focus is on Summer Cooking. July 18 is “Summer Sauces,” July 25 is “Saving Summer .”
The July 18 class is Summer Sauces and is offered on Sunday, July 18 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This class will show you how to spice up grilled meats, vegetables and even ice cream with sauces made from fresh summer ingredients from your garden. Chutneys, salsas, yogurt sauces, and dessert sauces will be presented.
The last class in July is Saving Summer on Sunday, July 25th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. “Not ready to take on canning?” the website asks. “Learn some simple ways to preserve summer’s bountiful produce: a quick tomato sauce, easy pickled vegetables and delectable jams made with ripe seasonal fruits. We’ll show you the basics so you can capture the fresh flavors of summer.”
Class size is limited, so reservations are highly recommended.
