With the first day of school approaching, the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department encourages parents to take advantage of its six clinics to obtain immunizations and will offer one more free clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday August 14 at the Stemmons location. The clinics in Dallas are at 2377 N. Stemmons Freeway on the first floor (in the Dallas County Health and Human Services building); 3312 N. Buckner Blvd., Suite 200; 1113 E. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 200; and 2445 W. Northwest Highway, Suite 107A. The other two clinics are in Irving at 440 S. Nursery Road and in Farmers Branch at 2774 Valwood Parkway.
Clinic hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Stemmons clinic offers extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Parents should bring their children’s vaccination records. Appointments aren’t necessary. other than the free event, cost is $10 for the child’s first visit and $5 for returning patients. Waivers are provided to families in need.
