Free Apps at Starbucks in Dallas – Shazam This Week

Apple and Starbucks are collaborating to allow Starbucks patrons to download free Apps from Apple’s iTunes App Store, andare featuring some really useful paid applications.   Using “Pick of the Week” cards, Starbucks is now using that same system to dole out free iPhone applications. Just like for music, users can find free cards waiting for them at the cash register with codes on the back that can be entered into iTunes or the App Store to get the application.  The first application to be offered for free is Shazam Encore (iTunes), a music-identifying app that sells for $5.99 in the U.S. version of the App Store.

Hear a song you don’t know? Shazam identifies it instantly. Unlimited, no Ads. NEW! In-App Music Previews: Instantly listen to clips of music you and your friends have Shazam’d. We’ve also given our Tag Result screen a facelift, making it easier to buy, share and learn more about your music discoveries. With Encore you can enjoy unlimited tagging and exclusive features including unlimited tagging, Play in Spotify and Recommendations; as well as all Shazam’s features – identify a track, buy it, check out the video and lyrics, share with friends – and more.
